Skyrim SE ｜ Zahkriisos Mask ｜

A dish that you will want even if you are not a witch, that is the “Zahkriisos Mask”. The buff that increases the electric shock resistance by 50% and the electric shock spell damage by 25% is a super excellent thing that can be given by this one. Let’s proceed with the quest immediately.

Release the quest “Last Descendants”

I myself will visit the main quest “Dragon Bone” to the stage “Sols Same”. When you cross Solus Same, the adventure begins in the port town of “Raven Rock”.

To release the quest “Last Descendants”, it seems good to follow the steps below.

This is because the “Starrim” ore, which is only available at Solus Same, can be mined along the quest. Mining of “Starrim” ore cannot be done without “Ancient Nordic Pickaxe”.

① Talk to the Raven Rock smith and release “Recover the Ancient Nord Pickaxe”.

② Head to the destination of the quest “Recover the Pickaxe of Ancient Nord”.

③ Talk to Cresius Caelerius and release the quest “Last Descendants”.

④ In addition, collect the “Ancient Nordic Pickaxe”.

Cresius Caelerius feels like a good old stubborn craftsman. The purpose is to hear the story of his great-grandfather from him and solve his doubts. Be sure to return the “Ancient Pickaxe of Nord” here.

Start of quest “Last Descendants”

We are aiming for the lowest layer of the mine where the body of our great-grandfather is said to be. In the mine, the number of enemies will increase as you go to the lower layers, and some tough enemies will appear.

It is a little painful to proceed with a spell or a weapon that has not been strengthened, so be sure to prepare and challenge spirit summoning magic, items, and recovery-related medicines as well as your followers.

Break the blocker

At the beginning, the spider that makes an eerie sound is the opponent. This can be eliminated without any problem.

You’ll reach a dead end as you step down the board scaffolding, but you’ll see a blocker that can be destroyed. Destroy this and proceed to the back.

Beware of immobile draugr

Beware of the already familiar “non-moving draugr”. A vivid draugr is usually alive unless you crouch down and “examine” it. Let’s beat it with a strong attack.

Since there will be situations where you will be dealing with multiple opponents at key points, you will also increase the number of combatants by summoning spirits to fight.

Canceling the electric shock trap

It is rare to go back and forth between the places of the electric shock trap, but the electric shock is driven by the tiny soul stone. If you use it and take it, electric shock will not occur.

First gimmick area

First, wipe out the draugr in this area, paying attention to the bow attack from the top of the bridge. Since it has a decent durability value, it is strictly forbidden to push it. Attack, withdrawal, and recovery are well combined to get around.

There are two gimmicks here.

The hidden door of the front waterfall needs to be unlocked. There is only a “Starrim” deposit inside, so there is no need to force it.

The door on the upper right is the path of travel and must be opened. Go up the stairs on the right side and cross the bridge in front from right to left, there is a door open / close switch.

Beyond the closed door

Open the door with the open / close switch and proceed further. There is a “Book of Spells: Ice Spike” at the end, so if you haven’t obtained it, collect it.

It’s easy to overlook the direction of travel, but there is a staircase in front of the room with the spellbook. It ’s going to go further up here.

If you go up the stairs, you will reach the corridor that you could see from below. As soon as you pass through the corridor, you will find a trap and arrive at a place with stairs and doors. There is a treasure chest inside the door at the end, but there is nothing that can be forcibly collected here either.

If you are distracted by the trap, you will not notice it, but there is a tunnel on the left side before the stairs. This is the path leading to the bottom layer.

The exit of the tunnel is a space that suddenly expands, and you can see a large door in the back of the front that makes you think there is something. The scaffolding seems to be a dead end, but if you look closely, you can see the steps that you can go down.

Going down the step from the left and approaching the large door, you will find the skeletonized body of Gratian Caerellius. There is a bag nearby, and if you look inside, you will find three points: Blood Skull’s sword, Gratian’s diary, and Gold.

The diary notes that the sword and the door are related, and Gratian’s anguish is written down.

Escape from Blood Skull Cemetery

You have to open the big gimmick door and leave this place. In Gratian’s diary, it was written that “something will be released when you swing the sword”. It does not activate with a mere attack action, and you can see the red slash fly when you make a strong attack by pressing and holding the attack button.

So that’s it! The red glowing area around the door was hit with a slash at the same angle. In order to shoot a sideways slash, it is necessary to make a strong sideways slash.

How to slash strongly

Strong horizontal slash is a long press of the attack button while moving sideways. Of course, you can move either left or right, only the attack motion changes. Although it takes some getting used to, it may be possible to get rid of enemies with two-handed weapons, so if you are new to this, you will not lose even if you practice.

When you hit the slash, the wall will move and a new target will appear. At the end, if you hit the door with a normal heavy attack, the door will open.

To the room where Zakrins waits

Open the large gimmick door with the Blood Skull’s sword, and a pendulum-style continuous guillotine awaits the player. If you run from the edge to the wall corner at the right time, you will not suffer any damage.

The image of passing through can be either left or right, but for example, from the left end, it feels like running toward the wall corner that can be seen in the back on the left. It is better to avoid breaking through the center.

This guillotine damage has a firepower that cannot be ridiculed. If you do not specialize in physical strength or defense, you will be in a moribund state if you hit a few shots.

After passing the guillotine, the lever is on the left, so activate it and enter the “Zahkriisos Room”.

The first thing you’ll notice is the central treasure chest. If you check the inside with the treasure chest installed in such a dangerous place, the expectation full MAX, it is only 2 gold filled with jokes of the development team. 😅 It’s an applause.

Zahkriisos capture

Zahkriisos stands out for its distance movements while using powerful electric shock magic. Most of this room is submerged, so it is a little disadvantageous stage to fight while closing the distance.

How to get around

Many enemies, not just Zahkriisos, feel that they have the habit of preferentially attacking the summoned spirits (when there is only one enemy). I’m sorry if I made a mistake.

And when trying to approach, Zahkriisos has a habit of retreating and attacking with electric shock magic.

Use the above habits

① Approach Zahkriisos and use the habit of retreating to guide you to the back of the room.

② After summoning a spirit to the right bank, retreat to the treasure chest in the center.

③ Damage with the sword of Blood Skull (strong attack).

In rare cases, Zakhkriisos gets caught in a rock and gets stuck. With this phenomenon, you can continue to do damage unilaterally. Even if that doesn’t happen, you will continue to aim at the spirits while keeping a distance, so you can defeat them relatively safely if you launch a slashing attack from the position of the treasure chest.

Get the mask of Zahkriisos

Defeating Zahkriisos will result in a pile of ashes, so check the ground around the disappearance. The “Mask of Zahkriisos” was safely obtained from the mountain of ashes, and the main purpose was achieved.

Acquire the words of power

Don’t forget to get the shout from the stone board in the back of the center.

Return to Solus Same

There is a lever in the position opposite to the direction of entry, so activate this to open the door. When you enter inside, there is a “black book” on the pedestal, and you can only choose “read”, so you will be drawn into Apocrypha.

The map in this book is relatively short, so if you have time, it’s a good idea to clear it first. If not, you can return to the original world by reading it again with Apocrypha.

There is a spiral staircase in the room where the “Black Book” was placed, and you can reach Solus Same by following the road. The problem is that the exit to Solus Same is the hideout of the robbers.

A looter who suddenly launches a bow attack from a long distance and a close combat. Moreover, it has a fairly good firepower.

Although he tried to recover while escaping, he died in agony because he could not make it in time with recovery magic because there was no recovery medicine. “I remember your face!” Be sure to return to killing.

Completed the quest “Last Descendants”

Give Gratian’s diary to Cresius Caelerius and the quest “Last Descendants” is complete. After this, if you go to return the “Ancient Nordic Pickaxe” to the blacksmith Glover Mallory, you will receive a thank-you pickaxe.

Now, for the time being, I’d like to put Mirak’s mask at home and equip it with the “Zahkriisos Mask” to enjoy the continuation of the adventure.
