Dying Light | Red Smoke Location |

As you progress through the main quests, you will hear about the existence of “red smoke” from NPCs near the Tower Supplies Section. The location is not told and it is not displayed on the map.

After clearing the main story, I was able to discover it by chance, so I would like to introduce it.

Dying Light ｜ Place of red smoke

As mentioned at the beginning, at some point it will be possible to talk to the NPC guarding near the Tower Supplies Section (exit to the 1st floor). When I talked to him, he said, “Some people are making red smoke, so please check it out.”

It always looks good, so I put it off, but I completely forgot about it. By chance to find “red smoke”, you will remember its existence.

The location was almost west of the tower, beyond the safe zone bazaar, in a corner where many scrapped cars were piled up. The surrounding area is a safe area surrounded by measures with barbed wire.

Side Quest | Tunnel Vision Starts

Knocking on a hut with red smoke, Ryan says he’s coming out and collecting the medicines that make up the medicine. This is the beginning of the side quest “Tunnel Vision”.

In this quest, you’ll be moving around the slum, so you’ll feel a little relaxed. Because I’m currently playing in “Nightmare”, I’m often attacked by multiple virals at the same time.

I’m not good at it, so the number of legend points lost due to death is enormous. Still, I’m stubborn, I don’t want to lower the difficulty level. 😅

Go to the bazaar and look for Aziz

The first mission is to return to the bazaar and talk to “Aziz”. Although the distance is short, it is one of the many viral attack high probability zones. Without touching the side, you can run through the dangerous area at once.

After discovering and talking to Aziz, it seems that one of the necessary materials is left in the tunnel. Because it is very dangerous, no one will try to collect it until it is a life-threatening event.

Dying Light is in charge of the player for dangerous work and dirty work. Let’s get hungry and go to the tunnel to collect it. 😓

Collect luggage from a white car in the tunnel

Considering the viral assault and the swarm of biters along the way, we will make full use of the breathtaking camouflage (survivor rank 12 release) and takedown (power level 13 days release).

Strategy that combines camouflage and takedown

I often use repeated camouflage and takedowns as a relatively safe way to proceed during the day and at night.

① Defeat one biter.

First, find a biter that you can safely defeat. If a single biter cannot be found, after defeating it with a bow for a long distance, use a firecracker to keep other biters away, and then approach the defeated biter and camouflage it.

② Camouflage using the defeated biter.

③ Use the camouflage effect time to eliminate biters and viral in takedown.

The camouflage effect time is about 1 minute, and this time will be used to destroy the surrounding biters and virals by takedown.

④ Apply camouflage again before the camouflage effect expires.

Before the effect time expires, use the corpse killed in the takedown to camouflage again. Since the camouflage effect time is overwritten, it is possible to drive out a large number of biters on bridges and highways from one end by repeating the camouflage operation after taking down a few bodies.

Now that we’ve arrived at the tunnel, let’s go inside. If you go a little further, you will see a shadow that looks like a toad on the bus, but you will not be hostile because it is camouflaged.

There was no luggage in the car in front of the bus, so I decided to get over the bus and go to the other side. However, as soon as I got on the bus, something exploded in front of me and was blown away. 😓

I didn’t die, but I was surprised to hear something suddenly.

I will defeat the toad that was blown away together by the explosion, camouflage it, and then cross the bus. I don’t know what is waiting.

There is a car in front of the bus that can open the trunk, but it didn’t have the desired luggage.

Goon was wandering on the other side of the bus, and a truly dubious white car was placed nearby. Because I was camouflaging, I passed by Goon with a cool face and opened the trunk of the car, and I was able to find the desired luggage.

Return to the tower and talk to Aman

If you think that you have successfully recovered your luggage, this time it is a mission to return to the tower. Since it is a little far away, I will use the familiar camouflage takedown to return.

Talk to Aman at the tower and you’ll be returning to the red smoke area to deliver the medicine ingredients to Ryan.

Don’t forget to visit the supplies clerk and Spike at the tower

It’s a small matter, but it’s easy to forget about “collection of supplies”. As the story progresses, not only the supplies clerk, but also the spikes are raised to the tower, so let’s receive the supplies from these two people.

Conversation with Yakup

It doesn’t matter, but a man was waiting near the entrance to the tower. The name is Yakupu, and it seems that he is in love with Lena, a doctor. It may be a good idea to take a break from a little interactive conversation.

Delivering drug ingredients to Ryan

I will run to the place where red smoke rises again. As you can imagine, those who have browsed so far have moved while taking down the enemy with their sighing hands as well as on the way.

Defeat the thug

When you return to Ryan, there are a few people surrounding the entrance to the hut. As expected, camouflage has no effect on human opponents. 😓 We will play with firearms here.

Thanks to you, we are equipping a machine gun with a high-power revolver pistol and a shotgun. Even if you make a stupid loud noise, it is a section that only humans can enter, so feel free to don’t hesitate.

I think there were 5 to 6 thugs, but I don’t remember exactly. If you defeated everything safely, you could talk to Ryan and clear the quest. There was nothing special about the reward, but it was a surprisingly thrilling and fun quest.
