Dying Light | Past Tracking Where is the reward? ｜

In the process of proceeding with the quest in Dying Light, it often happens that the entrance to the destination is not known. One of them is that it is a little difficult to understand how to get to the reward location in the quest “Past Tracking”.

Dying Light ｜ Quest Past Tracking

As you progress through the main story, you will eventually reach the “Museum” in Chapter 12. If you talk to an NPC called “Tallyk” here, you will be able to receive orders for “past tracking”.

Using the voice recorder of a child protected by Tallique as a clue, we go to investigate what happened in “past tracking”. The quest itself is not very important or difficult, but once you receive an order, you will want to clear it.

However, the final part of this quest requires you to “find a reward“. The entrance, which would be easy to understand if it was executed in parallel with the main story, will end up searching around if you work after clearing the main story.

In fact, I had to search around and had the experience of not proceeding at all during the exploration with only another detour.

Route of entry to the reward location

As you can see in the image above, the reward location is inside the museum. 　Even if you head toward the front entrance of the museum along the road, you cannot enter inside because there is only a small safety area. 😓

You will enter the museum through a secret passage.

From here, I will explain by looking at the image below. There is a pond on the way to the museum, so take a path to that side.

Proceeding through the cobblestone area, you will eventually reach a place with several boats. The stairs extend into the pond and proceed from here to the water. Because it was dawn, I am sorry that the image is dim.

Proceeding through the water from the stairs, you will find a boat whose bow has risen and is about to be submerged, and below that is the entrance to a secret passage.

By the way, in the main story, I feel like I’ve invaded the museum from here.

How to proceed in a secret passage

From here, don’t panic and hurry so that you don’t die of water.

Proceeding from the entrance of the waterway, there is a staircase, going up and rising from the hole to the right. When you get out on the fence, it’s time to breathe.

Looking down from the top of the fence, there is a hole that indicates the direction of travel. If you proceed from there, you will pass through the gaps between the collapsed rocks, and if you go up the stairs, you will arrive at the inside of the museum.

In the main story, I opened the red iron door on the front and proceeded. I remembered that the fence door on the right side did not open here.

This time, you can use the key you got in the parts so far to get inside. This is the place for rewards.

Reward content

The reward was the contents of the four chests and the blueprint for “flapping wings”. All chests require picking, but upgrade items etc. will appear inside, but it is quite normal.

After getting everything, I just followed the waterway that came back. It is not necessarily a quest that should be cleared, but if you dominate Dying Light, you may try playing it.
