The place I’m visiting this time is the “Eternal City Noklone“, which exists on the upper cliffs of the Sifra River. If you just explore the Sifra River normally, you may not know how to get there and you may miss it.

How to defeat a dragon soldier

Dragon soldiers are huge enemies to look up at. At first glance, you tend to keep a distance and go around.

If you are a strong fading person, you will not have any trouble, but an apprentice fading person like me is just going back and forth. As I died repeatedly, I realized that there was a safe place at my feet.

Now let’s get ready. Register ashes that are as durable and tough as possible in the shortcut. I will use my current favorite “Mercenary of Kaiden“.

Points of how to defeat

In the battle with the dragon soldier, you can expect a squirrel technique effect by attacking the back side of the thigh from behind as shown in the image below. However, this requires stick handling to retreat while adjusting the left stick (movement action) according to the movement of the dragon soldier.

With this in mind, I will explain the procedure for going around. Please refer to the attached video at the end of the explanation.

Steps around

As mentioned earlier, the basic action is to position and hit the back of the thigh of a dragon soldier. If you are a strong man, you should be able to achieve it without using ashes, but I am an elderly person, so I decided to defeat it by the following procedure.

① Use ashes in front of the Dragon Soldier.

While approaching with a ghost horse, use the ashes in a suitable place where the dragon soldiers do not start moving. It is a reassuring ally.

② Align the target lock with the thigh and approach with a ghost horse.

Basically, either thigh is fine, but in my experience, the back of the right thigh is stable.

③ Take your back so that you can jump over your legs.

While running the ghost horse, you can approach it so that it hits your leg, and push in the L stick to jump and move to the back of your thigh.

④ While hitting the thigh, retreat according to the movement of the dragon soldier.

From here is the crucial moment. The dragon soldier retreats while attacking the front, so if you simply move to the left (when attacking the right thigh), the fading person will be in front of the dragon soldier when the camera work is switched. It will come out.

In this case, Aji turns into a graveyard for fading people. In other words, if you hit a few shots, you need to move the fading person backward with the left stick while adjusting it so that it is close to the knee or calf of the dragon soldier.

The trick is to make adjustments to maintain the screen state when you’re hitting … but it’s difficult to explain verbally. 😓 Anyway, it keeps the screen state as below.

⑤ Continue to hit the thigh when stunned.

Dragon soldiers will be stunned when their health gauge is halved. At this time, it is more efficient to keep hitting the thigh as it is, rather than going to get fatal.

⑥ When the stun is released, take a distance and leave with a ghost horse.

The dragon soldiers whose stuns have been released will immediately shift to a slamming attack. Depending on the standing position, it may be troublesome to lose a place to escape.

As soon as you detect the release of the stun, stop hitting and leave.

⑦ Listen to the situation and stick to the back of the thigh again and hit.

Ride the ghost horse and listen to the situation, and wait for it to be attached to the back of the thigh again. If you fail to position it, don’t panic. Except for the ground launch attack from slamming, one shot can be guarded with a shield with 100% physical cut.

⑧ In the second half of the game, be careful of slamming attacks by dragon soldiers.

In the second half of the game after the stun, the slamming attack of the dragon soldiers becomes conspicuous. You must be prepared to repeat the process of separating with a guard or avoidance, leaving with a ghost horse again → positioning on the back of the thigh and hitting it several times.

The important thing is to never make a greedy attack. Let’s choose the next action when the dragon soldier tries to stand up so as not to misunderstand the judgment of avoidance, guard, and withdrawal.

The reward is a dragon halberd, which requires 22 strength to handle with an ax spear. Although it is not the strongest weapon, it has a basic attack value that is not bad among the weapons belonging to the halberd.
