Certainly, it is meaningful to buy a gaming PC if you have the money and the installation environment. 　Because it functions as a personal computer, it will be a very meaningful purchase other than games, such as video editing, distribution, blogging, and work. However, it is also true that there is a huge difference in performance when it comes to gaming PCs.

However, with the update on September 29, 2022, the game as a whole feels heavy. With the same settings, the frame rate did not increase and dropped to 30FPS. Therefore, when the 3D settings of the Gravo itself were reviewed and the content of the two images was reduced, the GPU usage rate was 100%, but even with 4K ray tracing enabled, the GPU/CPU temperature was able to be maintained at 80°C or less. The frame rate is also maintained at 60FPS or higher.

Basic operations and standing

If you’ve played FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, Bravo, Dark Souls series, etc., the controls will be familiar.

There is a red gauge (life) and a green gauge (stamina) at the bottom left of the play screen, but since Aigis is a mechanical doll, running out of stamina will be treated as overheating. Jumping, dashing, attacking, dodging, and guarding will consume the green gauge, and the machine on your back will heat up in red. “Overheating disables all actions other than movement until it recovers.”

When overheated, there is a period of time when the green gauge changes to white. If you press the corresponding button when this gauge is white, you can instantly restore the green gauge, but at the same time you will be frozen. In other words, diversity is strictly prohibited, and it can be said that Steel Rising is fighting elegantly without pushing hard.

Enemy automata have unique movements and tend to get hit until you learn them. “In the early stages, it’s best to focus on counterattacks from guards.” “Once you get used to it, you’ll feel better if you mix in strong attacks from jumps.”

Even though it’s a light soul-like, it’s outnumbered, and it’s a little disadvantageous to play against several at the same time. “Basically, I’m going around with a one-on-one mindset.”

There are two ways to view the ◇ mark that appears when you lock onto an enemy. The first is the enemy’s stun gauge, and the white gauge rises from the bottom to the top to show the state until the stun.

Westa is a blessing

Similar to Blessing in Elden Ring, Bonfire in Dark Souls, and Sha in Nioh, Steel Rising has a device called Westa, which is like Aegis’ resting place. You can upgrade and shop in Westa, some of which are unconditional to unlock, while others cannot be unlocked without defeating the boss.

As I mentioned earlier, you can purchase the weapons you saw in the character class at the Westa shop. “If you find it difficult to use, you can purchase it here and equip it.”

In Steelrising, you can upgrade module slots, weapons, and oil cans in addition to character abilities. Abilities and weapons are upgraded with experience points in Steel Rising and something called Anima Essence, which is used as currency.

Ability upgrades 6 elements and builds the player’s favorite fighting style.

The module slot is a place to equip a character enhancement item called a module. Modules also have ranks, and can only be installed in the corresponding slot.

Collect module keys and upgrade slots so that you can set higher performance modules.

A mechanism that attaches modules and adds additional effects to the character’s abilities.

Various gimmicks in the field

First Boss Lancer Battle Walkthrough

Lancer’s left-hand weapon fires and the right-hand weapon’s reach makes for a quick thrusting attack. “If you are within range of your right-hand weapon, it is rare for them to launch artillery fire.” With the Lancer as the center point, I felt that it would be better to move around clockwise or counterclockwise.

Since it is the first boss, you can handle everything with guard except for the jumping thrust (a technique that cannot be blocked). Therefore, as a way to get around, I felt that it would be safer to counterattack after dealing with the guard and keep a distance.

Then, what to do with a weapon that can’t be guarded is to remember the movement and avoid Lancer’s attack, then counterattack. “It’s true that it will be a little more difficult.” If you evade backwards, you’re too far away to counterattack, so it’s often difficult to deal damage. “It is necessary to dodge sideways as much as possible.”

Stop the counterattack from the guard with 1 or 2 attacks, and again take a distance to the rear or sideways.
