Steelrising | Run through Montmartre until the centaur is defeated

Steelrising

Steelrising |Rush through Montmartre

This time, we will introduce Montmartre, which is a major part of the main quest, from the starting point to defeating the boss. After conquering Montmartre and reaching the next area, the main story will go straight to the ending.

It should be noted here that in order to proceed to the next land “Temple”, you will have to go through the underground of Paris. “Once you get down to the basement of Paris, you won’t be able to return.” Since it will be impossible to complete the subquests that have occurred up to this point, you will have to turn back and start the uncleared subquests.

I personally feel Steelrising after playing it is not a high difficulty game, but a work that puts more weight on the story. By embarking on a prepared mission, you can experience the world of the French Revolution in Steelrising. In short, I think that by clearing all the missions, you will be able to feel the goodness of Steelrising.

So let’s go to Montmartre!

Activate the elevator!

Arrive in Montmartre and start in the fields and vineyard area. The large door that can be seen in the distance in front cannot be opened from this side.

On the way down the slope, on the right side, there is a place where you can use the “scripture grappling hook”. “There are two automata wandering around the area, and there is also a chest.”

The chest contains the Fire Resistance Module III, but you shouldn’t have to force yourself to get it.

Once inside the lot, you will escape from the place where you can go up with the “scripture grappling hook” as shown in the image below. The escape route is far away from the place where you climbed with the “scripture grappling hook”, so instead of jumping + dodging forward, you have to jump + “Selenite exercise device” to reach it.

Path to quarry

If you go left in front of the main entrance, you can enter a wooden structure like a material storage area. If you enter this and go up the stairs, you can proceed to the quarry along the suspended scaffolding.

Explore the workshop

When you reach the quarry, you should be able to see Westa’s presence diagonally to the right. At this time, I neglected to observe my surroundings and didn’t notice Vesta’s existence. If you proceed to the right as shown in the image below, you will find an elevator that does not move.

If you go past the elevator, there is an intrusion route into the workshop. “Let’s move on, as shown in the image below.”

Proceed to the workshop in the back with the automata wandering around.

The intruded wooden building has a stairwell with a first floor and three automata inside. “You can’t move the elevator without going through this.” “Let’s get down and start sabotaging.”

Once you have successfully completed the destruction, enter through the entrance and proceed to the second floor to repair the elevator. “After repairing the elevator, you will be instructed to search for Marat.”

Find Marat!

As I said earlier, when I returned from repairing the elevator, I noticed Vesta’s presence. “For now, let’s take a break.”

First, go down with the elevator. You can open the closed front door at the place where you got off.

Quarry site leading underground

Jump down from the side to the basement of the quarry site. If you are playing mainly with long-range weapons here, you can get down on the quarried rock by following the scaffolding from the right side of the exit. You can take advantage of the automata roaming below.

Let’s release Westa because it’s right ahead. “The quarry site is intricate, but it’s not as complicated as a labyrinth.” “The road to the destination is long, but if you look for destructible rocks, wooden walls, and doors and proceed beyond them, you will reach your destination.”

If you go a little further, you will arrive at the place in the image below. Here, go along the hanging platform to a higher place in the back. Within the quarry of Montmartre, there are several locations that can be accessed using the Selenite exercise device (LB + A button) and the scripture grappling hook (LB + X button).

There is a board that serves as a landmark at the destination. You can trust the signboards, so proceed without any doubts. Such landmark boards will inevitably draw your attention and neglect your surroundings. As you can see in the image below, there is a destructible wooden wall on the right.

There is one enemy and a chest inside the wooden wall.

Movie point ①

If you go ahead, there will be a rock wall that can be destroyed, even though it is crossed out. “This is the place where you can destroy it and see what’s inside.” “The automata await on the other side of the rock wall, so let’s destroy the rock wall while preparing for battle.”

If you destroy the enemy automata and turn your gaze to the left, there will be a movie point. “If you get closer, you can see Marat’s face.”

Destroy the rock wall ahead to return to the original path.

Immediately ahead is a hole that leads down. “With this, we will proceed to the next lower level.”

From here on, beware of the unexpected beast-type automata (jaguar type, but hereinafter referred to as wild dog). “It’s customary to have two or more stray dogs attack, so be careful not to destroy Aegis.”

Eliminate the stray dogs and explore the intricate area, then destroy the board wall as shown in the image below.

If you go past the wooden wall, an iron door will appear on the right, but it is a side quest door and cannot be opened.

In the opposite direction of the iron door, there is another landmark plate, which leads to the lower level again.

Proceed to where you jumped off, and you’ll arrive at the upper mine area. “We’ve come a long way, but it shows that there is still more to come than the upper layer.” “As an elderly person, I’m getting a little tired.”

In the upper vein, you will face three automata in the rocky area in the back. “Of course, it’s possible to run through and advance, but at first glance, you won’t know where to go, and you’ll be forced to fight.”

It’s easy to open the lid, and you can see the path to the right of where the three automata were.

Destroy the door and you’ll be on the main street. “If you go to the left, there will be another door, so destroy it.”

Mid-boss battle

Beyond the second door is the vault area, where a mid-boss scout awaits.

Scouts, despite their physical strength, are not particularly formidable enemies. “You should be able to destroy it if you carefully watch the opponent’s movements and attack while interweaving the selenite exercise device.”

Once you’ve successfully destroyed the scouts, there’s a vestal where you can finally take a break. “There are broken elevators and destructible rock walls nearby.”

Found Marat in the refuge area

Beyond the rock wall near Vesta is the refuge area.

Movie point ②

There are quest items, journals, and movie points on the left side of the shelter, so be sure to watch them to understand the relationships between the characters in the story.

If you go up the stairs on the right, you can find Marat.

Further down

After enjoying the conversation with Marat, it’s time to repair the elevator. “This opens the way to the lower levels.”

explore the underworld

Get off the elevator and go through the door to reach the lower floors. “This place is a bit complicated, and there are multiple enemies.” “In order to explore calmly, it is necessary to destroy all enemies.”

Movie point ③

There is a movie point in the first area after getting off the elevator, but it is in a place where you will miss it if you go ahead without exploring it. You can guess who the boss of Montmartre is in this movie.

ムービーポイント③で紹介した場所をセレナイト運動装置で飛び越え、先のエリアへと進んで行きます。 上手く渡れない場合は、セレナイト運動装置の後に空中で弱攻撃を数回加えることで飛距離が伸びます。

After a short while, there will be a door, so destroy it and go ahead. “You’ll probably reach the deep area where Westa is.”

There is a chest near Westa

There is a chest near Westa in the Deep Area, where you can get the new weapon Charleville Bayonet. “Although this weapon is a long-range type, it also has a counter attack, so let’s get it.”

Battle with Centaurs

The boss Centaur battle area is finally approaching. “If you have enough Anima Essence, you can purchase a restraint-type throwing item from the Westa shop, and you will be able to gain an advantage in boss battles.”。

If you go down one step from the front of Westa, you will find a place where you can move up from the place where the automata are wandering as shown in the image below. “If you go up this, you will arrive at the cave area.”

In the cave area you arrived at, if you go even a little further, a boss battle will begin. “If you are not prepared enough or want to purchase throwing items, you can earn Anima Essence by returning to Westa and defeating enemies around you.”

The appearance scene is a little cool centaur. He has a special skill that is somewhat different from the previous bosses.

特殊技に注意

Special moves like the Centaur’s flame bombardment have unique characteristics. After firing forward in a straight line, a damage zone will appear for a while.

If you touch it, you will receive fire damage + operation gauge reduction effect. “Since the maximum value of the operation gauge will continue to decrease for a while, Aigis will be unable to operate if touched repeatedly.”

When the centaur’s life is halved, ranged attacks will increase. “Let’s keep a distance when we feel the presence of a technique.”

basic turn around

Fighting at a distance from the centaur is stable. If you keep your distance, the centaurs will basically run up to you and attack you with their spears. “It would be appropriate to dodge this, go around the back, and counterattack to accumulate damage.” Of course, it’s also effective to use throwing items to force them into a state where they can’t move.

When the Centaur is successfully destroyed, Pierre’s rescue movie will occur. “It’s easy to get caught up in watching and forget to collect loot from the centaurs.”

booty

Don’t forget to collect players who use counter techniques. The loot module is an excellent item that extends parry timing and doubles the damage of counterattacks.

A word of caution before proceeding to the tuple

When you return to Westa and take a break, the autosave will work. If you proceed to the next quest here, you will not be able to proceed with the uncleared subquests, so if you have cleared them, turn back and start. “No, if you enjoy Steelrising, you should start.”

You can return to the ground from near Westa, so return to the carriage and fast travel to the subquest target town.

That’s all for now. “Let’s meet again in another article.” “I hope that this article will be of some help.”
